Empowering sterile processing professionals through education and innovation

If you’re a sterile processing professional, there’s a good chance you’ll relate to this: I didn’t set out to build a career in sterile processing. Like many in this field, I stumbled into it thinking it would be a temporary stop on the path to another role in healthcare. But what started as a stepping stone quickly became a calling.

If you’re new to the industry, I offer my sincerest welcome, and know that my goal is to provide tools and resources to empower our industry professionals.

If you’re a seasoned sterile processing professional, then you know that we must give away what was so freely given to us in the form of mentorship, wisdom and knowledge to lift up the professionals just starting out as a means to preserve industry knowledge and help to bring up the next subject matter experts that will fill your shoes.

Over the course of my career in sterile processing, I have been exposed in a short amount of time to many dynamics, challenges, and pain points within our industry. I made a decision to speak up and be apart of the solution, and that is how Simon Sterilization Solutions was born.

A frontline technician identifying a problem and coming up with a solution. I enjoyed it so much that I decided I wanted to continue to provide innovative solutions to our industry in the form of products and services.

Simon Sterilization Solutions is a passion project, and I continue to be amazed with every milestone that we reach with hard work and determination. But, this isn’t for me.It’s for the industry. The biggest joy of innovating in the space that I love is that it allows me the opportunity to give back to the people who work hard on the front lines preventing infection, and delivering safe for use instrumentation to the operating roomsfor the patient.

Through Simon Sterilization Solutions Education Foundation, we will offer educational opportunities through scholarships and donations that will contribute to improving the knowledge of the frontline technician. A percentage of all sales of products and services will be allocated to our Education Foundation so that we can give back to the industry that we serve.
